DM Muse

DM Muse is a great new shared resource that we just discovered and would like to recommend to all our readers who like Random Tables and generators and things like that. You can find out a little bit more about DM Muse either at Netherwerks or just go to their site directly ( http://www.dmmuse.com/ ). This looks like a very handy tool for DMs/GMs/Refs and it'll only get better as people contribute to the collective effort.

  2. @Omlet: Hi! You need to register in order to add stuff. Look in the upper right-hand corner and you'll see the log in/register stuff. I suspect that the registration thing is to deter spamming.

Maybe we can get Dion to write-up a handy guide to how to load things into the various Living Tables? Maybe that would be something people would find useful?

  4. Hey Omlet, can you let me know what's happneing when you go to add an entry? If you're adding new entries to DMMuse and you don't see them listed yet, that's normal because I have a somewhat manual approval process in place to avoid bogus entries. I'm actually at GaryCon now and will be back Sunday to check and approve any new entries. Thanks for the interest!

  6. Even if I'm logged in, "Submit a Table" button is unclickable. Am I doing sth wrong?

  7. @Arlee: Hello! Our blogs are moderated due to previous problems with spammers and the like. Thanks for hosting the A to Z Challenge! We're looking forward to it and have a bunch of posts in production already. We'll be dropping by your blog again shortly--you ahve a lot of fun stuff there!

  8. @Omlet: Adding items one at a time to existing tables or submitting entire new tables will both require Dion to approve them before they are posted--this is a guard against spamming. Dion is at GaryCon right now, so he'll not be able to approve and/or post your stuff until he returns. Your best bet is to submit whatever you feel like trying out and waiting until Monday to see what goes up and then contact him via the site's email link. It might be easier to just send a table in as text in an email, but you'd have to ask Dion about that.

There will be a handy tutorial for how to submit stuff to DM Muse coming soon. Thanks for contributing, please don't get discouraged--it's all going to work out fine.

  9. The link to add a new table to dmmuse is still under development and should be finished in a few days. For now you can add entries to the existing tables by following the link below the table roller results. Thanks fir bearing with me as I tweak the design to make the site as easy to use as possible :)
