We're getting ready for the 2011 A to Z Challenge for this April.
Our A to Z Subjects have pretty-much been settled upon and we're in the process of writing the first few to see how it goes. If the schedule allows, we might just roll Zalchis and Netherwerks into the A to Z Challenge as well, featuring a New Monster A to Z at Zalchis and something along the lines of an Island-a-Day if we can get the maps knocked together in time, otherwise we'll launch the Island-a-Day thing in May instead. The Table-a-Day thing is slated for after that...if all goes well.
We'll post the 2011 A to Z Subject List shortly. That list will serve as an Index Page giving you a one-stop set of links to all of our A to Z Challenge entries for April.

I'm going at it too. For good or ill - and now I've started writing that's less clear - I'm probably the one as left the door open and let the monster down this far all those weeks ago. The theme won't be overtly RPG, though it will leave space for a tie-in with Zalchis.
ReplyDeleteA possible tie-in with Zalchis? Sounds like fun! We just added you to the list above. Making lists from A to Z for each of our blogs has been very eye-opening, to say the least...
ReplyDeleteI had fully intended to write at least half my April entries before the start of the month, but true to my cursed procrastination I haven't written one. Thanks for putting all these links in one place NetherWerks, it will be good to follow what other gamers are producing.
ReplyDelete@austrodavidicus: There's still time, and you only need the entry for A on the first of April. We've had quite a time narrowing it down from all the great 'A' words there are to choose from.
ReplyDeleteBeing true to my nature I reckon I'll just end up doing each one on the day. :-)
ReplyDeleteSpontaneity is a nice thing!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking of giving this a go at http://redwald.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteAdd The Badger King's Den to that list as well. 8)
ReplyDeleteI'm asleep. There's also Axe & Hammer and Lunching on Lamias:

http://lunchingonlamias.blogspot.com/
Maybe this guy too:
http://occamskatana.blogspot.com/
And Paul's Bods, who'll likely do something miniature-related, but I've not heard. Not RPG of course, just our neck of the woods so that's an even tougher call.

I intend to do a miscellany of Greek God themed posts. So from Athena to Zeus for me!
ReplyDeleteI'm in.
ReplyDeletehttp://9and30kingdoms.blogspot.com/
And in addition to following the A to Z rule, every post in April (except on Mondays) will be part of a larger topic: a non-medieval fantasy setting. (Mondays will still be geomorphs.)
I've got about half my posts for April written, just because I know I might need more time on some of the others. Everyone will probably hate my topic, but oh well...
In, and plagued by the same procrastination demons as Austrodavicus.
ReplyDelete@Talysman: Doing the A-to-Z with an overall theme sounds like a sensible idea to us--Sea of Stars is doing a Greek Mythology Theme, We're doing an A-to-Z collection of monsters for Zalchis, and we've been drawing up A-to-Z lists for all of our blogs as an exercise, just to sort things out a bit and see where it leads. We might still do the A-to-Z at Riskail as well...
ReplyDeleteYour topic of a Non-Medieval Fantasy setting sounds intriguing. What you ahve produced at your blog to date has been high quality stuff, so this should prove to be very cool. Any further teasers or hints?
@Chris: It is very, very nice to have Vaults of Nagoh back in production-mode. It will be fun to see what all you do for the A-to-Z Challenge.
ReplyDelete@NetherWorks: there was a hint in one of the comments to an older post... but I'll drop a couple more here: I should have hyphenated "non-medieval fantasy" as "non-medieval-fantasy". It will be sci-fi, but not a common sub-genre.
ReplyDeleteI'm in too: http://swordplusone.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteAdd me to the list.I have been absent from my RPG blog for far too long. I have been concentrating on my Wargamming blog. But add me to the list.
ReplyDeletehttp://roll2hit.blogspot.com/
Wow--we've just made a D30 Table of RPG Blogs for the A-to-Z Challenge...
ReplyDeleteI'm in:
ReplyDeletehttp://knightsky-alienshores.blogspot.com/
Specifically, I'll be posting various NPC's for the Villains & Vigilantes RPG (A should be easy, but Q may be difficult).
I'm a bit new to the RPG blogosphere, but I will be participating as well.
ReplyDeletehttp://weekendwizardry.blogspot.com/
Add me to the list please: www.theskyfullofdust.co.uk. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThe Risus Monkey accepts your challenge: http://www.risusmonkey.com/
ReplyDeleteTim's latest recommendation is in too, The Clash of Spear on Shield.

We've added everyone above this comment. Whew! There are a lot of folks doing this silly thing...but so far it has been fun. Thanks for all the help with the list everyone, and especially Porky!
ReplyDeleteLaughing Ferret has an amazing mix for his run... Your call.
ReplyDeletehttp://laughingferret.blogspot.com/
@Porky: You are right about that! What a great job. I hope to be able to read some more of these posts later. So much to do...
ReplyDeleteOh heck, I might as well be listed as well:
ReplyDeletehttp://snikle.wordpress.com
So who made it and who didn't?
ReplyDeleteI'm counting myself as "made it!" I couldn't get to my computer until now (it's 3 in the AM here), but I just posted Z. :)
ReplyDeleteI made it, actually ended up have some extra posts in there was well. Having the alphabet to guide me actually proved very useful in planning out the month.
ReplyDelete@Anthony Emmel & m.s.Jackson: Congratulations to you both for having made it to the end. This was quite a challenge for a lot of us. We're still getting caught-up on reading everyone's blog entries for the challenge...there's thousands...
